TROPHY TIME TRITON Breeding Our German Shorthair Pointers are bred for intelligence, trainability, and bird scenting. Several top notch blood lines are available. English pointer Ch. stud service is available. We have some of the finest blood lines in the country including: Miller's, Elhew, and Fiddler blood lines. Our German Shorthair stud is producing female puppies at a minimum of 3 to 1. Training We start our puppies at 3 months old on live quail, and wing pointing. After scent pointing is accomplished we begin to steady the dog to hold a staunch point. When point is solid we then begin to shoot live birds over the dog and this is when retrieval work starts. Force breaking is available. Once solid pointing, perfect retrieving, and gun steadiness is achieved the dog is considered broke. We train according to what style of trial or hunting our client plans to participate in. Field Trials Trophy Time Kennel is very experienced at competing in field trials and hunt tests. We also handle dogs at trials for their owners. We personally compete in A.K.C., American Field, N.S.T.R.A., National Bird Dog Challenge, and pheasant championships.
